AloneDeals respects the intellectual property of others and expects our users to do the same. If you believe content on our site infringes a copyright you own or control, this page explains how to send us a takedown notice and how the process works.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you are a copyright owner, or authorised to act on behalf of one, and you believe material on AloneDeals infringes your copyright, please send us a written notice with all of the details listed below. We take valid complaints seriously and act on them promptly.

What your notice must include

  • Your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  • A clear description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  • The exact URL(s) on AloneDeals where the material appears, so we can locate it.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.
Send notices to our teamSubmit your complete notice through our Contact page and mark it clearly as a “DMCA / Copyright Notice”. Incomplete notices may delay our response, so please include every item above.

What happens next

Once we receive a valid notice, we will review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material in question. We may also notify whoever posted it. We aim to respond to properly documented complaints within a reasonable time.

Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notice. It should identify the removed material and its previous location, include a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed in error, provide your contact details, and include your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts along with your signature. If we receive a valid counter-notice we may restore the content unless the original complainant pursues the matter legally.

Repeat infringers

Accounts or contributors who repeatedly post infringing material may have their access restricted or removed. Filing a knowingly false claim of infringement — from either side — may carry legal consequences, so please be sure of your rights before sending a notice.
